What's the difference between a standard and deep clean?
When you’re deciding to hire a cleaning company to clean your home or office, one question you’ll more than likely be asked is if you need a deep clean or a standard one, but most people don’t know the difference between the two, or they have a generalized thought of a deep clean being just what the name implies; a clean that is deeper than a standard one, but what is it really?

Deep Clean
A deep clean should be the first clean you have in your home when starting a new cleaning regime with a cleaning professional. This clean consists of attention to details and areas that are overlooked in a standard clean, such as under furniture, behind bookshelves, inside intake vents, behind HVAC equipment, behind washer/dryers, baseboards, etc.…
Think of a deep clean as a tune up for your car, it makes sure everything is cleaned, even areas you don’t see or are hard to reach. No one thinks of dust build up in areas that have air flow, which can keep dust blowing over areas after you have cleaned them.
Standard Clean
A standard clean, or recurring clean, is supposed to compliment the deep clean and maintain the cleanliness of the area. This is the general cleaning that most people do when cleaning their own home or office; it consists of dusting, wiping down visible surfaces, and floor cleaning. It also maintains sanitization of frequently used areas such as counter-tops, door knobs, and bathroom fixtures.
Pick What's Best For Your Situation.
When deciding if you need a deep clean, take into consideration the length of time since your last professional clean, move furniture and/or look behind appliances, like your refrigerator, and inspect the soil levels. If you notice a lot of buildup in unseen areas, then you will be better off with a deep clean.
This is a short list of areas targeted in a deep and standard clean but each home and office is different depending on a person’s day-to-day, so this list is not all inclusive.
